In 1961, our dad Antonio “Tonino” Procentese arrived in Trieste and brought a special brand of magic as the first Neapolitan pizzaiolo in the city.

Building on the strong food traditions of Naples he opened Al Barattolo in 1981 which today is cared for and managed by his children and grandchildren.
Ample indoor and outdoor seating.

Thanks to the freshest ingredients and the care we put into every detail, our menu always manages to satisfy everyone, with traditional Neapolitan pizzas, first courses, meat and fish dishes. Al Barattolo has always been a point of reference for the people of Trieste and for visitors to our beautiful city.

The Procentese Family

All of pizzas and bakery products are made in-house using our dad’s original recipes and traditional methods.

The dough, made with natural yeast, creates a final product that is both lighter and easier to digest.
