In 1961, our father Antonio “Tonino” Procentese arrived in Trieste, bringing with him a unique distinction: that of being the first Neapolitan pizza maker in the city.
Drawing on the rich culinary traditions of Naples, he opened Al Barattolo in 1981, which is now run and managed by his children and grandchildren.

Thanks to the freshest ingredients and the care we put into every detail, our menu always has something for everyone, featuring traditional Neapolitan pizzas, pasta dishes, and a selection of meat and seafood options.
Al Barattolo has long been a favorite spot for both locals and visitors to our beautiful city.

The Procentese family

All our pizzas and baked goods are homemade, following the original recipes and traditional methods passed down from our father.
The dough, made with sourdough starter, results in a lighter, more digestible final product; the kamut variety is made with a unique blend of flours.

We are expanding our product line to include gluten-free dough (produced in a non-gluten-free environment).
